Legal Terms

Terms governing the use of the Phati platform.

Last updated · 11 October 2026

1. Purpose

Phati is a platform connecting patients and partner pharmacies in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, published by Valorigo SARL. It lets you check a product’s availability, compare announced prices and reserve a pickup. By using Phati you accept these terms.

2. Phati is not a pharmacy

Phati does not sell, stock or dispense any medicine. The sale is concluded exclusively between you and the pharmacy, at the counter, under the pharmacist’s responsibility. Platform information (availability, prices, hours) is provided by pharmacies and is neither medical advice nor a guarantee.

3. Free service and prices

The service is free for patients. No payment is made on Phati. The reserved price is the price announced by the pharmacy at confirmation; it is payable on the spot, in Congolese francs (or the currency displayed by the pharmacy). Phati charges the pharmacy a commission only on validated pickups; it has no effect on your price.

4. Reservation

  • A reservation is a request; it becomes firm when the pharmacy confirms it.
  • You may be asked to confirm in turn within a limited time (about 15 min) when several pharmacies have answered.
  • After confirmation, products are held for about 3 h, then the reservation expires automatically.
  • Pickup requires the reservation code and, if asked, the PIN. You are responsible for keeping them confidential.

5. Prescriptions

For prescription-only products, a valid original prescription is required at the counter. The pharmacist may refuse to dispense in line with regulations and professional judgement, without Phati being liable.

6. Fair use

You agree to:

  • reserve only products you actually intend to collect, and cancel as soon as you can no longer come;
  • provide accurate information (phone number in particular);
  • not attempt to bypass technical limits, automate reservations or harm the service.

Abusive reservations (repeated no-shows, many simultaneous requests) may be limited or blocked.

7. Ratings

After a pickup you can rate the pharmacy. Ratings must be sincere and respectful; abusive, defamatory or unrelated content may be removed. Ratings are used to monitor network quality.

8. Gift wheel

The wheel is an optional promotional operation, offered after collecting eligible parapharmacy products and funded by Phati from its own commission (never by medicines). The odds of each slot are identical for every patient; the basket amount only affects the number of spins. The outcome is determined by the server before the animation and cannot be replayed. A “Bonus spin” is one extra spin tied to the reservation phone number, usable on a later parapharmacy pickup through Phati with the same number; it has no monetary value. Prizes, odds and caps are shown on the wheel and may be changed or suspended at any time for future spins. No prize can be exchanged for money.

9. Liability

Phati provides an intermediation service “as is” and makes its best efforts regarding information accuracy and service availability. Phati is not liable for the products sold, counter prices, dispensing refusals or indirect damages. In case of a dispute with a pharmacy, you can report it through your post-pickup rating or, where contacts are available, to support.

10. Personal data

The processing of your data is described on the Privacy page, which forms part of these terms.

11. Changes and governing law

Phati may change the service and these terms; the version in force is the one published here, with its date. These terms are governed by the law of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first.

12. Symptom search

Symptom search provides general information on the classes of over-the-counter medicines usually used for minor ailments. It is neither a diagnosis, nor a prescription, nor individual medical advice; in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, diagnosis is reserved to health professionals. The dictionary is established and reviewed with a pharmacist from the regulator’s health-product directory (ACOREP); it may be incomplete or change. The user remains solely responsible for consulting a professional, and the pharmacy remains responsible for dispensing. Phati accepts no liability for use of this information without validation by a pharmacist or doctor.
